![]() ![]() Hopefully, the Turtles are quick enough to save her from any harm, and the Utroms will be smart enough to avoid jumping into a battle they cannot finish. There would also be no hope of escaping the Triceratons' wrath should Seri's Utrom assailants complete their mission. After how miraculous her birth was in the first place, there is simply no hope for a future without her. With Seri being the only real hope that the Triceratons have of surviving beyond their current generation, her loss would be more than any of them could take. On the other hand, it would only be understandable for the Triceratons to strike back in the face of such an egregious assault, especially when Seri is their only hope of continued survival in the face of their already questionable existence. That which they have already moved on from very nearly destroyed more than one world, so to see another kicked off would be truly devastating. If Seri were to be captured or killed, it would mark the beginning of a whole new war between the Utroms and Triceratons. Now that Seri is being watched over by the Turtles, the chances of her surviving whatever Ch'rell had planned for her are certainly better than they were before, yet the presence of the Utroms' latest cybernetic assassins call into question just how much those odds have actually gone up. As such, the birth of the first naturally occurring Triceraton Seri was seen by Ch'rell as an affront to any future return to glory for his kind. Krang might not be in charge of the Utroms any longer, but his successor Ch'rell is just as cruel and paranoid as his predecessor. Though this eventually led to the current cohabitation of the two species on Burnow Island, their alliance has been tenuous at best from the beginning. This status quo, like so many others, was not built to last, however, as the Triceraton leaders Zog and Zom proved by fighting for their people's freedom from the Utrom empire. Over the course of thousands of years, they mastered the arts of genetic modification and cloning to develop the powerful Triceratons who fought their wars for so long. ![]() The story lines is different but way better. The brain-like Utroms have been a part of the wider TMNT mythos from almost the very start though they have rarely if ever been fleshed out so much as in the current IDW continuity. If you grew up watching the old cartoons you will like these. Over all I am very impressed this these graphic novels. Just need number three to fill in the gap. ![]() Which is fine I guess but I am still waiting for volume 3, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shadows of the Past to come in the mail. The only thing is it ends in a cliff hanger. Really liking this new take on the Ninja Turtles. This picks right up after volume one and it is even better than the first. Who in turns wants super soldiers to fight in his war back on this home plant. Because Stockman needs a blood sample to make more ooze for General Krang. Stockman gives them to the bad guy from the first Volume, Old Hob to track down Splinter. We all so get to see Baxter Stockman’s Mousers (Minefield Ordnance Unarming System Enhanced Robots). The story all so has the turtles getting own coloured masks. He is much better that in the old cartoons. This novel has the introduction General Krang. There is some comedy but it more serious. All the characters are there you know but the origin story is different. In these new graphic novels it is like a reboot of the Ninja Turtles story line.
